Amisfield was established in 1988, and has built up a reputation for quality wines, especially Pinot Noir. Their state-of-the-art purpose built winery is the focal point of the vineyard, and gathered global attention when visited by Will and Kate on their Royal tour of New Zealand.
Established in Central Otago, Amisfield produces beautiful pinot noir and aromatic white wines sourced from fruit grown on its Estate vineyard beneath the Pisa mountain range in the Cromwell Basin. Over 80ha is currently planted, and the majority of the vines are over ten years old. Amisfield philosophy is simple: minimal intervention in the winemaking process and ultimate fruit purity.
Amisfield is currently in conversion to full organic certification with New Zealand’s leading body, BioGro.
