The Wine Advocate - "The Clos du Moulin-à-Vent 2011 offers a complex bouquet with aromas of macerated black cherries, soy, toast and rosemary scents, all well-defined. The palate is very well balanced with fine tannins, superb acidity and a beautiful taut, fresh and convincing finish. An accomplished Moulin-à-Vent"
Domaine Labruyere is one of the oldest wineries in the Moulin-a-Vent Appellation. The well located vineyard in the hamlet of Romanèche-Thorinswas established in 1850 by Jean-Marie Labruyere.
The Moulin-a-Vent terroir is one of the most legendary in Beaujolais region due to its typical granite slopes including the famous pink sandy soils adjacent to the windmill, that gave its name to the Cru. This enables the Gamay to produce wines of uncommon complexity and with exceptional ageing potential.
