AIX Cote de Provence Rosé 2016 ~ Provence ~ France
Wine Enthusiast, 90/100
Wine Enthusiast "This is a smooth, beautifully ripe wine. It is well balanced, with crisp red and orange fruits adding a refreshing background to the spice and acidity. This finely made wine is ready to drink." Roger Voss, July 1, 2017
Vinous "Light, bright orange-pink. Lively strawberry, orange pith and floral scents, and a hint of succulent herbs in the background. Tangy and focused on entry and then more round in the middle, offering supple red berry and citrus fruit flavors and a touch of fennel. Silky, subtly sweet and floral on the finish, which hangs on with very good, fruity persistence."
Holly Phillips "Slightly creamy, very fresh rose. Notes of strawberries and dried raspberry, orange zest and melon on the nose. Plush and minerally, with great acidity. Crushable."

AIX Rosé is the top blend from Domaine de la Grande Séouve, a former truffle orchard. The domaine was founded in 1880 and is one of the larger estates in the AOP Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence area, located close to Aix-en-Provence.
Cotes de Provence is the largest appellation of the Provence wine region in south-eastern France. It covers roughly 50,000 acres (20,250ha) of vineyards, which produce the vast majority of Provence's Rosé wine.
Although it also covers red and white wine, about 85% of Cotes de Provence's output is Rosé , made predominantly from Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre, Cinsaut and the quintessentially Provencal grape Tibouren.
This wine is made from Grenache, Cinsault and Syrah.
