Vine Online "Parcels from the Awatere Valley and Wairau Valley together combine to create a wine brimming with varietal character, balance and elegance. The nose is lifted and fresh with notes of passionfruit and grapefruit. The sweet fruit characters on the palate and fresh acidity combine to create an expressive, classy Sauvignon Blanc."
Clearwater Cove are part of Peter Yealands' Yealands Wine Group, an award winning producer that won New Zealand Wine Producer of the Year in the 2014 International Wine & Spirit Competition. Awatere Valley is the smaller of two sub-regions within the famous Marlborough wine region. It lies south-east of the region's main wine-growing area, the Wairau Valley, surrounding the small township of Seddon. Herbaceous, grassy Sauvignon Blancs with characteristic aromas of tomato leaf are a particular specialty of the region.
