Campbell Mattinson, Winefront "Lovely Cabernet. Highly accessible. Creamy oak, ripe curranty fruit, a splash of mint and a sound, gently tannic finish. All in good order, all in good measure."
Steven Creber, Halliday Wine Companion “Firm, grainy tannin runs right through the palate, but never dominates......Ripe red berries on the bouquet with a dusty, savoury oak overlay, and some developed cedary aromas starting to appear. Medium to full-bodied, the fruit has an edge of sweetness which softens the chewy green leaf and herbal cabernet flavours. Firm, grainy tannin runs right through the palate, but never dominates. Drink to 2030".
Winestate Magazine "Glenlofty’s vineyards have been carefully nurtured since 1995 in the cool-climate foothills of Victoria’s Pyrenees. Formerly blended into premium wines produced by Penfolds, Seppelts, Rosemount and Brown Bros, Glenlofty’s remarkable fruit has been bottled under its own Glenlofty Wines label only since 2013. Early industry applause has been rapid, as demonstrated by its awards."
The Glenlofty GO Cabernet Sauvignon 2012 won the Consumer Choice Award at the Pyrenees “Unearthed” Festival in 2018. The votes were almost 2:1 ahead of its nearest rival out of almost 150 wines available at the event. This wine has also been selected for a Masterclass being held in Shanghai as part of the Wine Australia China Roadshow involving over 70 wineries, for showcasing the best attributes of Pyrenees Cabernet Sauvignon.
The vineyards of Glenlofty lie at 340 metres above sea level in the heart of the Victorian Pyrenees and total 110 hectares. Glenlofty grow a diverse range of low yielding grapes, including Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Nebbiolo.
