Now in stock is the 2013 vintage from this famous Argentinean wine producer. This winery continues to produce outstanding wines at prices that make some of the old world wines look very expensive. If you like Argentinean Malbec (we do) then this has to be on your list to try!
Natalie McLean - "Absolutely phenomenal for the price! Here’s your summer party wine by the case. Juicy blackberry liqueur rich aromas and flavours. Full-bodied and ultra-smooth. Pair with barbecued meats and late-night conversations".
The previous vintage (2012) was the Winner of the 2014 Grand Trophee from the French Winemakers Association. It competed against 3,500 other wines from 41 countries in the French Winemakers Association blind tasting and was named "World's Best Dry Red Wine".
Wine Spectator ~ "Robust, with ripe, well-structured flavors of plum, dark chocolate and tobacco leaf. Offers a firm finish of slate and spice."
Wine Advocate ~ "Earlier vintages consistently rated 90 points or above."
Casa Bianchi ~ "massive presence, but at the same time, soft and silky."
World Wine Selections ~ "Luscious and intensely seductive aromatics lead to the velvety, rich mouthfeel that coats your palate and is framed by soft tannins. Exceptional fruit character, concentration and poise. Layers of deep, dark berries, chocolate, minerals and blueberry pie. Delicious now and will drink beautifully for the next 5-7 years."
Malbec food pairings: chicken herb-rubbed roast, duck breast with celeriac purée, breaded veal cutlets, tagliatelle alla Bolognese, lamb burgers, spicy sausage.
