1 x Brokenwood Cricket Pitch Red Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz Merlot 2019 ~ Hunter Valley, Australia

James Halliday 5 Star Winery (2016 vintage)

Our Cellar - "Cabernet Sauvignon/Shiraz blends and vice versa, are often referred to as the great Australian blend. Great red fruit characters from the Cabernet and fine tannins from the Shiraz providing good mouthfeel and palate length. A style all about fruit, some oak background but soft tannins and an easy drinkability." (2016 vintage)

Winemaker "Aromas of red cherry, spice and sweet oak. Mid-weight palate with some Cabernet Sauvignon cedar up front that leads to soft Shiraz richness. The oak regime is mainly older American and French so limited impact although some vanillin on both nose and palate with a long sweet finish. Excellent fruit flavours and balance being the features that will be maintained under the screw cap packaging" (2016 vintage)

Australian Wine Companion "Brokenwood's big-selling Hunter Semillon provides the volume to balance the limited quantities of the flagships ILR Semillon and Graveyard Shiraz. Brokenwood purchased the Graveyard Vineyard from Hungerford Hill in 1978 and has fully rehabilitated the vineyard in a vine-by-vine exercise. There is also a range of wines coming from regions including Beechworth (a major resource is the Indigo Vineyard), Orange, Central Ranges, McLaren Vale, Cowra and elsewhere. In 2017 Iain Riggs celebrated his 35th vintage at the helm of Brokenwood, offering a unique mix of winemaking skills, management of a diverse business and an unerring ability to keep Brokenwood’s high profile fresh and newsworthy. He also contributed a great deal to various wine industry organisations."

Established in 1970 Brokenwood Wines is one of Australia's most reputable premium wine labels and a must-visit in the Hunter Valley. It was established by Australia's leading wine critic, James Halliday. Consistently listed as a 5-star winery, Brokenwood is home to the famous Graveyard Vineyard Shiraz, the highly acclaimed ILR Reserve Semillon, and the popular Cricket Pitch Range.

1 x Chapman Grove Lone Quince Semillon Sauvignon Blanc 2017 ~ Margaret River, Western Australia
90/100 James Halliday

Bronze, Sydney Wine Show 2018

James Halliday "A 72/28% blend fermented in stainless steel. Lively and zesty, green pea, grass, citrus, and lemon don't give tropical fruits much chance to be heard, and the wine didn't need it anyway in its role as a thirst quencher. Value+."

Chapman Grove Wines is a small winery focussed on making limited edition fine wines from Margaret River, Western Australia. Described by Australia's N#1 wine critic, James Halliday as "a very successful venture", the winery is known for its highly rated wines and was established in 2005 by an esteemed veteran of the industry, Ron Fraser. Pop Up Wine has secured back vintages of a collection of its highly rated wines.

Chapman Grove focusses on producing exceptional fruit which is all 100% estate grown to create its world-class wines. Its range includes varieties most suited to the Margaret River climate, with French oak used to bring out flavours of the terroir, creating a true expression of the region. Selector Magazine "Supple and fleshy with stonefruit, melon and tropical fruit sweetness, nutty complexity, clean acidity and creamy texture. Shows attractive jubey ripeness throughout."

Winemaker "Bursting with floral aromas, delicate bready/yeast undertones and a hint of honey. The palate is fresh with fruit sweetness perfectly balanced with the crisp acidity that leaves you refreshed. This traditional blend of Chardonnay & Pinot has a fine bead & persistent mousse that is stylish and complex. The base wines are a blend of multiple vintages dating back to 2006. Each year, wine is added to the base to freshen the overall blend whilst remaining consistent in style and taste. The Pinot Noir in the blend adds a roundness to the mouthfeel, making it a traditional sparkling with great complexity".

Patrick of Coonawarra was founded by Patrick Tocaciu; one of Australia's leading wine (and AFL football) figures. Patrick's reputation for producing exceptional wine earned him many international accolades for the major labels he worked as Chief Winemaker, including; Tollana, Penfolds, and Hollick Wines. Patrick's distinguished reputation continued with the establishment of his own Patrick of Coonawarra Estate label. The wines are built on the solid foundation of extensive estate vineyards: 36 hectares in Coonawarra and 42 hectares in Wrattonbully. The Wrattonbully plantings contain shiraz, sauvignon blanc, and some of the riesling. All of the cabernet is grown in Coonawarra. The Estate is now managed by his eonologist son, Luke who continues the tradition of producing wines of varietal and regional excellence.

James Halliday 5 Star Winery

Hunter & Bligh "From the Limestone Coast in South Australia, the Patrick of Coonawarra P-Series Rosé exhibits the essence of the modern Australian rosé. Vibrantly coloured, this creamy style drop embodies floral aromas and berry fruit flavours on the palate. This is dry in sugar but has just enough fruit sweetness and weight to be both interesting and refreshing."

1 x Willow Bridge Water Dancer Cabernet Merlot 2021 - Geographe, Western Australia

Halliday Wine Companion 5 Star Winery
Halliday Australian Wine Companion ‘Best Wineries of 2014’
Most Successful Western Australian Exhibitor - Perth Wine Show

The Winemaker "Generous lashings of ripe blackberry, plum and dark chocolate. Fleshy flavoursome palate of bright berry fruits and mocha hints."

Halliday Australian Wine Companion "Many of its wines offer exceptional value for money."

The Australian Wine "(Australai's N# 1 Wine Critic James) Halliday listed Willow Bridge among his ‘Dark Horse Wineries of 2013’ and then his ‘Best Wineries of 2014’. The estate has also won Most Successful Western Australian Exhibitor at the Perth Wine Show three times!"

Halliday Australian Wine Companion "Willow Bridge Estate is family owned and operated by principals Jeff and Vicki Dewar, who bought the picturesque 180-hectare hillside property in 1996 after an exhaustive search of the state for the ideal vineyard site from which to realize their shared vision of producing world class wines which are both opulent and accessible. The estate is located in a hidden jewel of an area known as the Ferguson Valley (in Geograph Bay in Western Australia) which, at that time, was home to only a few small vineyards. Immediately planting 60 hectares of vines and then building a state of the art winery (the first winery in the area) in time for their first vintage in 2000, established Willow Bridge as the pioneering estate of the area and demonstrated the family’s confidence in the property and resolve to see their vision become reality."

Willow Bridge Estate continues to attract acclaim for the relatively newly established wine growing region of Geographe which is located adjacent to its more famous neighbour, Margaret River, in Western Australia. Wine critcs have heralded the winery for producing quality, good value wines. Winemaking is by veteran Western Australian winemaker, Kim Horton.
