Cru Artisan sits just below Cru Bourgeois and gathers together 46 family-owned estates that are committed to quality wine production, with eco-friendly agriculture, traceability and many other strict conditions. The winery owner is responsible for their winemaking, bottling has to be done at the Chateau and the wine must be tasted every year by the Cru Astisan classification body.

This Ecocert certified organic wine is made from mostly Merlot grown on limestone slopes in the Entre-Deux-Mers region of Bordeaux with an average age of 30 years. All of the grapes are hand-harvested and aged in barrique, with about 30% new barrels. The owner of this estate also owns the prestigious Saint-Emilion Grand Cru – the Château La Grangère – and a Graves de Vayres – the Château Tillede.
