"Borgonero" refers to Supertuscan wines, famous bright personality and elegance characteristics. This wine is created from grapes Sangiovese, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon. Extract of wine takes place in barrels of sessile oak and lasts from 8 to 24 months. Another 8 months after bottling the wine is aged."

Vintage "delicate, intense, fruity taste of cherry, plum and tamarind. The perfect combination creates a round, gentle wine with a smooth, velvety, long and soothing aftertaste."

The Winemaker - "sourced from top vineyards in the DOC Manduria zone - home of Italy's best Primitivo vineyards. this wine shows the exuberant, lush side with ripe cherry and plum flavours with notes of spice and chocolate."

The Winemaker - "Intense purple colour, tending towards amber with ageing The bouquet gives notes of varietal fruits This wine has a very solid structure due to the elevated alcohol and the balance between the soft tannins and acidity Great wine for roasted and grilled meats. Ideal with game dishes. Excellent with mature hard cheeses"

Botter is one of Italy's largest, family-owned wineries and has been producing and exporting wines for almost a century. Today one in every 35 bottles of Italian wine exported is produced by Botter which is managed by the family's third generation of vignerons. Botter is committed to organic and sustainable winemaking practices at many of its vineyards which are located in Puglia, Veneto and Friuli. The winery has won over 100 top international awards for its wines, most notably the gold medal Vinalies Internationales 2014, China Wine & Spirits Awards 2013, Concurs Mondial de Bruxelles 2010, Berliner wine Trophy 2013 and Mundus Vini 2013.

Primitivo, the grape variety from which these wines are made, is very traditional for the Primitivo region of Italy. It is the only viticultural area in Italy to specialize in the variety. California is also a major centre for the grape in its guise as Zinfandel. Primitivo got its name because it ripens early. It shares this quality with Spain's Tempranillo: Temprano means "early" in Spanish.

Filled with ripe, rich fruit and a plethora of spices, this style is typified by Australian Shiraz, Sonoma Zinfandel and Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
