La feuille de Vigne - ‘’...a powerful and complex nose...ripe tannins and a fresh and balanced finish.’'

This wine is a classic St-Emilion with plenty of ripe Merlot fruit aromas and flavours. 80% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc. All grown in St-Émilion.

Château Vieux Perey is only 4,5 hectares in size and produces limited wine. It's 30 year old vines are now known to be producing very fine quality fruit. Saint Emilion is said to be the oldest active wine producing appellation in the Bordeaux region with a history that dates back to the times of the ancient Romans. Numerous Roman ruins are scattered all over the St. Emilion appellation.

Bordeaux is made up of many sub-regions that each have their own soil and climate. However, there are two major areas in Bordeaux, the Left Bank and the Right Bank. The names are derived from the location of each area to the left (west) and right (east) of the Gironde Estuary and Garonne River.

Unlike many other regions in France, where wines are made from single grape varieties, Bordeaux blends five major varieties in the production of its reds: Cabernet Sauvignon for structure and tanning, Merlot for softness and fleshy ripe fruit , Cabernet Franc for lightness in body, aromatic finesse and peppery perfume, Malbec for flavor intensity, complexity and tannins, Petit Verdot which is used in small amounts for color adjustment and tannin.
