Marko Schwinn - "It is perfect as an aperitif with seafood or a wide range of other foods."

Andy Williamson - "The palate is generous in flavours of lime & lychees and shows good structure and balance, with great length."

James Halliday "A Semillon sauvignon blanc with some flowery aromatics and a palate that demonstrates why Margaret River has the reputation for Australia's best Semillon sauvignon blanc/sauvignon blanc Semillon blends, with its mix of freshly squeezed lemon juice sweetened by the tropical fruits of the sauvignon blanc. Shows up Verdelho, pinot gris, and so on." (2011 Vintage)

Acclaimed Margaret Rivery winery, Chapman Grove Wines is a producer of Dreaming Dog wines. Chapman Grove is a small winery focussed on making limited edition fine wines from Margaret River, Western Australia. Described by Australia's N#1 wine critic, James Halliday as "a very successful venture", the winery is known for its highly rated wines and was established in 2005 by an esteemed veteran of the industry, Ron Fraser. Pop Up Wine has secured back vintages of a collection of its highly rated wines.

James Halliday "A very successful venture under the control of CEO Ron Fraser. The wines come from the estate vineyards planted to chardonnay, Semillon, sauvignon blanc, shiraz, cabernet sauvignon and merlot. The wines have three price levels: at the bottom end, the standard Chapman Grove range; then the Reserve Range; and, at the top, ultra-premium wines under the Atticus label."

The winery achieved the highly coveted 5 Red Star rating from James Halliday within three short years of first entering the Wine Companion in 2009. Since the release of the Chapman Grove range in 2006, Chapman Grove wines have been awarded 4 Trophies, 3 Top Gold, 3 Gold, 8 Silver and 39 Bronze Medals.

Margaret River is a highly respected wine region in the southwestern corner of Western Australia. Famous for having a more "European" wine style than its counterparts across the country, Margaret River has made its name through its unusually refined Cabernet Sauvignon (often blended with Merlot), gamey Shiraz, intensely citrusy Chardonnay, and refreshingly grassy "SSB'" blends of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon. Margaret River's winemakers are particularly proud of it's temperate, coastal location – which is very similar to that of Bordeaux.

Sauvignon Blanc – Semillon is a classic white wine blend. It is most widely produced in France (most notably Bordeaux's Graves district), where both Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon are well-established varieties, and has more recently caught on in Australia (particularly Margaret River). The versatile blend is typically made into crisp, dry wines, but it is also the blend of choice for the world's most prestigious sweet wine style, Sauternes. The blend is endowed with vibrant acidity and grassy aromas by Sauvignon Blanc, and its structure and mouthfeel from Semillon.
