Bob Campbell "Hand-picked, wild yeast fermented and aged in Burgundy barrels for 14-16 months. An appealing, silken-textured chardonnay with a nice mix of white peach, grapefruit, hazelnut, brioche and spicy oak flavours"

Bob Campbell "Impressively pure, almost luscious chardonnay from the famous hillside Clayvin vineyard. Ripe tree fruit, peach and nectarine flavours with ginger, hazelnut and spicy oak. Surprisingly accessible wine that promises to develop well with bottle age." (2016 Vintage)

James Suckling " This has plenty of power and concentration with yellow-citrus, apple and pear aromas leading to a fresh yet savory palate with lemon peel and fresh peaches, finishing with biscuity, nutty flavors. Drink now."

Bob Campbell "Intense, youthful chardonnay with mineral, oyster shell, citrus, grapefruit, stone fruit, hazelnut and spicy oak flavours. A tight, focused and complex wine that can be appreciated now but has a lot of potential. " (2015 Vintage)

James Suckling "Impressive purity and density of fruit with ripe grapefruit and peach as well as nectarine and hints of mango, subtly placed oak and attractive flinty notes. The palate has a bold serve of rich stone fruit flavor, bright acid to hold fleshy texture in check and a gently mealy, savory finish. Drink now." (2015 Vintage)

Campbell Mattinson ~ "..a tiny, but mighty, estate."

Jamie Goode ~ "One of Marlborough’s very best wineries......sensational wines from interesting vineyard sites, farmed organically.

Ray Chan ~ "From the very beginnings of the Fromm winery in 1992, the core philosophy of expressing terroir through single vineyard wines has never been compromised. Such a driven approach is to be admired, and Hatsch Kalberer, the Fromm winemaker has come to represent the winery’s determination and unwavering direction. The wines he has faithfully crafted from the special vineyards are deemed some of Marlborough’s finest.."

Fromm were established by Swiss winemaker Georg Fromm in 1992. All vineyards have been certified organic (BioGro NZ).

Marlborough is New Zealand's most important wine region. Situated at the northeastern tip of the South Island, this dry, sunny region produces around three-quarters of all New Zealand wine. It is particularly famous for its pungent, zesty Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. In recent years, the region's earliest Pinot Noir vines have come of age, and are now producing some first-class wines. Marlborough Pinot Noirs are lighter and fruitier than those from Otago and Martinborough.

Although some vines were planted by settlers in the 1870s, commercial scale viticulture did not begin in Marlborough until the 1970s - it conquered the world within 25 years!

Chardonnay is one of the world’s most popular grapes, Chardonnay is made in a wide range of styles from lean, to rich, creamy white wines aged in oak. Bolder, richer, full-bodied and buttery Chardonnays are made using oak and are produced in California, Burgundy, and Australia. Unoaked chardonnays such as Chablis and those produced in Chile, New Zealand, and other parts of France are leaner and often crisp and mineraly, with delicate flavors. By law, if a label says “Chablis,” it must be Chardonnay.
