Sam Kim "It is sweetly fruited and immediately appealing on the nose showing Black Doris plum, cassis, vanilla and cedar characters with a subtle touch of dried herbs. The palate delivers succulent fruit intensity and supple mouthfeel, wonderfully complemented by fine texture and polished tannins. It is flavorsome and refined with a terrific long finish."

Campbell Mattinson "A soft cabernet. Yes, it has tannin but blueberried/blackcurranty fruit swoops all over it. Gum leaf and dark chocolate characters are main players too. Acidity sits a little higher in the wine than might be considered ideal but then, it does help to keep the fruit in line. In all, it’s a pretty solid release, offering a good deal of fruit-driven flavor.”

Nick Butler, The Real Review “Purple and proud colour. A burst of berries - red, blue and black. Cedar and black tea. The front palate shows charm.”

The Glenlofty GO Cabernet Sauvignon 2012 won the Consumer Choice Award at the Pyrenees “Unearthed” Festival in 2018. The votes were almost 2:1 ahead of its nearest rival out of almost 150 wines available at the event. This wine has also been selected for a Masterclass being held in Shanghai as part of the Wine Australia China Roadshow involving over 70 wineries, for showcasing the best attributes of Pyrenees Cabernet Sauvignon.

Winestate Magazine "Glenlofty’s vineyards have been carefully nurtured since 1995 in the cool-climate foothills of Victoria’s Pyrenees. Formerly blended into premium wines produced by Penfolds, Seppelts, Rosemount and Brown Bros, Glenlofty’s remarkable fruit has been bottled under its own Glenlofty Wines label only since 2013. Early industry applause has been rapid, as demonstrated by its awards."

The vineyards of Glenlofty lie at 340 metres above sea level in the heart of the Victorian Pyrenees and total 110 hectares. Glenlofty grow a diverse range of low yielding grapes, including Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Nebbiolo.

Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the most famous red wine grape variety on Earth. It is rivaled in this regard only by its Bordeaux stablemate Merlot, and its opposite number in Burgundy, Pinot Noir. From its origins in Bordeaux, Cabernet has successfully spread to almost every winegrowing country in the world. It is now the key grape variety in many first-rate New World wine regions, most notably Napa Valley, Coonawarra and Maipo Valley. Wherever they come from, Cabernet Sauvignon wines always seem to demonstrate a handful of common character traits: deep color, good tannin structure, moderate acidity and aromas of blackcurrant, tomato leaf, dark spices and cedarwood.
