Robert Parker's Wine Advocate - "This is an excellent non-vintage wine that seems to reflect the maison's efforts to improve their grape sourcing over the last few years......The latest rendition of Laurent-Perrier's NV Brut is showing nicely, wafting from the glass with scents of almond paste, iodine, white peach, warm biscuits and mandarin. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, with an elegant, lively profile, displaying a youthfully frothy mousse, good tension at the core and an attractively chalky finish."

Wine Spectator - "A crisp Champagne, with a fine, lacy mousse and a pretty, finely meshed range of flavors, showing hints of crushed cherry, toasted almond, fleur de sel and pink grapefruit pith, followed by a smoke-tinged finish."

James Suckling - “Full-bodied and round with fine bubbles. Flavorful and intense. Vivid, bread-dough finish. This is four years on lees. 55% chardonnay and the rest pinot.”

Falstaff (translated) - “Light green-yellow, silver reflections, fine, persistent mousseux. Yellow tropical fruit framed with a hint of roasted aromas, but also some mango and pear, red apple in the background. Medium-bodied, white fruit, chalky minerality, fine sweetness in the finish, versatile and well developed.”

Roger Voss, Wine Enthusiast - “The nonvintage cuvée from this producer is definitely on the dry side. Like many Champagnes in the range, it has benefited from long aging before release, giving a wine that has richness as well as great fruits, hints of maturity coming through. Drink now.”

Keith Beavers - "The fruit is lean, but there is a nice soft, sweet vibe that coats the palate. For the price, this is a nice, welcoming Champagne that is widely available, and a good one to have on hand."

When the word - "Champagne" is mentioned, one of the first names that would pop to mind would inevitable be that of Laurent-Perrier. Founded in 1812, the House of Laurent-Perrier is a symbol of resilience and passion; it survived 2 world wars and debt that threatened to destroy the house. However, they survived and prospered, eventually growing to the reowned name they are today.

La Cuvée is Laurent-Perrier's signature champagne, defining the House style with its characteristic lightness, freshness and elegance. With up to 55% Chardonnay and a minimum of four years aging in the cellars, La Cuvée is delicate yet complex with crisp notes of citrus fruit and white flowers, and great length on the finish.

La Cuvée is pale gold with a steady stream of fine bubbles. The nose has delicate aromas of citrus fruits, underpinned by hints of white flowers. A perfect balance between freshness and finesse, the palate is full-bodied, complex and creamy, displaying great length on the finish. This fresh and pure wine is perfect as an aperitif. Its citrus and white fruit notes and its remarkable balance, supported by a subtle effervescence, make it an ideal accompaniment to poultry and the finest fish.

The Laurent-Perrier style is a mix of tradition and contemporary technicques. This created a range of unique wines, all with their own history and personality. It is because of this that Laurent-Perrier is now celebrated for its style and the consistency of its quality, cuvée after cuvée.

Champagne is the most iconic sparkling wine in the world, produced in the region of Champagne in France. Synonymous with celebration, champagne is typically produced from a few specific varieties of grapes: pinot noir, chardonnay, and pinot meunier. With effervescent flavors of citrus, almond, and apple, champagne comes in varying levels of sweetness and has a moderate amount of alcohol. The most treasured Champagnes age for a minimum of 3 years.

The Champagne region is located 140 kilometres from Paris, France. While the vines in this region have been producing wine since the Roman era, it is only in the past couple of hundred years that winemakers began producing Champagne using méthode champenoise - the complex method that produces the style of Champagne the world knows and loves today. Another important component of the production of champagne is the chalk and limestone soils which dominate the Champagne region. Vines grown in these conditions result in wines that are high in acidity - a key component to making good sparkling wine. Champagne's northerly location - about as north as grapes can ripen - also allow for higher acidity and lower alcohol levels which are also very important for producing quality sparkling wine."
