This is Great……and Here’s Why!

90/100 Andreas Larsson, Best Sommelier in the World
91/100 Decanter
86/100 - Gilbert & Gaillard

3 stars coup de cœur - Guide Hachette des Vins
Gold - Vinalies Internationales

Gilbert & Gaillard - "An opulent, perfumed Champagne. Golden highlights. Enticing, fresh, fruity nose suggestive of pear flesh. Full, fairly vinous and melted palate showing pronounced suppleness."

Decanter "Fresh, rose petal perfume on the nose. The palate carries a smooth foaminess with spice and hint of raisin, more resonance than depth with a lovely sense of mellow, ripe apple flesh."

Andreas Larrson - Best Sommelier in the World "Generous nose offering raspberry, plum, fig and pain d’épices. A youthful and generous palate with creamy mousse, more Pinot-driven fruit with red berries, citrus and sweet plum, classic dosage level but balanced with a generous creamy finish."

Maison Pierre Mignon Champagne is located in Le Breuil, one of the most famous production sites for Pinot Meunier Champagne, in France. For 5 generations, Maison Pierre Mignon has been producing exceptional Champagnes in the purest respect for tradition while favoring innovation.

The 18-hectare vineyard covers the best Crus of Champagne (Marne Valley, Côte des Blancs, Epernay region). The majority of Pinot Meunier (50%) is supplemented by Chardonnay present on 40% of the plots and Pinot Noir which covers 10% of the farm.

The vineyard is certified High Environmental Value Level 3 signifying the commitment of the House to protect biodiversity and the environment. The typicity and the diversity of the soils make it possible to produce exceptional Champagnes of character and excellence.

Champagne is the most iconic sparkling wine in the world, produced in the region of Champagne in France. Synonymous with celebration, champagne is typically produced from a few specific varieties of grapes: pinot noir, chardonnay, and pinot meunier. With effervescent flavors of citrus, almond, and apple, champagne comes in varying levels of sweetness and has a moderate amount of alcohol. The most treasured Champagnes age for a minimum of 3 years.

The Champagne region is located 140 kilometres from Paris, France. While the vines in this region have been producing wine since the Roman era, it is only in the past couple of hundred years that winemakers began producing Champagne using méthode champenoise - the complex method that produces the style of Champagne the world knows and loves today. Another important component of the production of champagne is the chalk and limestone soils which dominate the Champagne region. Vines grown in these conditions result in wines that are high in acidity - a key component to making good sparkling wine. Champagne's northerly location - about as north as grapes can ripen - also allow for higher acidity and lower alcohol levels which are also very important for producing quality sparkling wine.
