Erin Larkin '...a unique field blend', reads the back of the bottle. This is lean, green (like a crunchy green apple) and with only a hint of strawberry, or red berry through the finish.

Vintage Note "2021 was an overall standout vintage. Near perfect ripening condition and cool, mild weather kept the natural acidity of the whites fresh. Harvest decisions were precicely made and optimal balance of ripeness and acidity was achieved."

Hunter & Bligh "From the Limestone Coast in South Australia, the Patrick of Coonawarra P-Series Rosé exhibits the essence of the modern Australian rosé. Vibrantly coloured, this creamy style drop embodies floral aromas and berry fruit flavours on the palate. This is dry in sugar but has just enough fruit sweetness and weight to be both interesting and refreshing." (2020 vintage)

The Winemaker "A style that I like to drink, being dry in sugar but having enough fruit sweetness and weight to be interesting and refreshing. The grapes were picked, crushed and left on skins for 8 hours to enhance the floral aromas and berry fruit flavour, whilst releasing some of the vibrant colour." (2019 vintage)

The Real Review "Lovely in the glass. Strawberries, raspberries and red cherries, all the red fruits. It's dry and measured, with more than a tease of phenolic grip on the back-palate." (2019 vintage)

QWine "Luke Toccaciu delivers a smashable drink - Sunday afternoons are all go with this. Soft red fruits and berries speak softly. A creamy presence through the mid-palate adds another element of pleasure as a result of a portion seeing old oak for a couple of months. Red cherries continue to call you back. Bone dry, it screams smashablility with a dab of fruit sweetness teasing you into another sip. When things heat up, be sure to know this will cool you down with ease". (2019 vintage)

The Cheeky Vino "easy-drinking goodness that goes perfectly with a Sunday afternoon. Relax into the balanced flavours of fruit and acidity that make it all too easy to polish off a bottle. With or without food, this wine is affordable and sure to please!" (2019 vintage)

Patrick's of Coonawarra was founded by Patrick Tocaciu; one of Australia's leading wine (and AFL football) figures. Patrick's reputation for producing exceptional wine earned him many international accolades for the major labels he worked as Chief Winemaker, including; Tollana, Penfolds, and Hollick Wines. Patrick's distinguished reputation continued with the establishment of his own Patrick of Coonawarra Estate label. The wines are built on the solid foundation of extensive estate vineyards: 36 hectares in Coonawarra and 42 hectares in Wrattonbully. The Wrattonbully plantings contain shiraz, sauvignon blanc, and some of the riesling. All of the cabernets are grown in Coonawarra. The Estate is now managed by his oenologist son, Luke who continues the tradition of producing wines of varietal and regional excellence.

Coonawarra is the most important wine region within the Limestone Coast zone of South Australia, credited with producing some of the best red wines in the entire country, and often described as Australia's most famous terroir. It is located in the far south-east of the state, adjoining the border with Victoria south of Wrattonbully.

Rosé derives its name from the French word for pink. In Spain, it is rosado and in Italy Rosato. Rosé’s flavours and styles are as varied as the food it matches. Rosé predates white and red wine with ancient rosé-style wines dating back 8,000 years. The colour of rosé can vary dramatically. A deep fuchsia pink rosé may be bone-dry, though it’s likely to be full flavoured given balance by a gentle squeeze of tannin. Tannin primarily comes from the skin of a grape – as does colour. It’s tannin that sets rosé apart from white and red wine. Almost all wine grapes have clear juice; it’s the skins that give the colour. Grenache is the most popular grape used in rosé, with its lifted confectionary aromas, juicy red fruit flavours and mild-mannered tannins creating the textbook triumvirate for rosé. The temperate Provence region of France is home to some of the world’s most acclaimed rosé, perhaps naturally, given it’s widely planted with grenache and its Rhône varietals; mourvèdre, cinsault and syrah.
