Zardetto winemakers first lead by the forefather of the estate, Bepi Zardetto have been making award winning wines for close to one hundred years, and prosecco since the 1950s. The terrior of the Veneto region is famed for Prosecco production.

The Zardetto vineyard is located in a complex hill system shaped by ancient glaciers, not far from the left bank of the river Piave, equidistant from the Dolomites. This provides protection which keeps its climate gentle and temperate. It is within this landscape between Conegliano and Valdobbiadene that the vineyard is located, contributing to the regions' fame as Italy's acclaimed exclusive region for Prosecco production.

Veneto is an important wine region in the northeastern of Italy. Vineyards in Veneto wine region can be found on the shores of Lake Garda as well as near the lagoon of Venice, at the foot of the Dolomites and in the hills of Mantua. The variety of the cultivated grapes is unique: it ranges from autochthonous white vines such as the Prosecco or Garganega grape to Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio to the distinct red varieties Corvina and Raboso and to Cabernet and Merlot. With such well-known wines as Amarone, Valpolicella, Soave or Prosecco, Veneto is one of the most important wine-growing regions in Italy.

Prosecco is a pale and light grape indigenous to northern Italy that makes one of the countries most popular sparkling wines. Most Prosecco is made in an extra extra dry, or off dry, style offering fruity aromas of confected pears and peaches. A small percentage are made in a dry Brut style offering bracing green apple and citrus fruit. Since the 2009 vintage the Prosecco zone in the Veneto region was elevated from DOC to DOCG status, joining the ranks with the likes of Barolo, Chianti and Brunello Di Montalcino. At the same time the grape was renamed from Prosecco to Glera. Now anything made outside of the region must be labeled Sparkling Glera, offering extra protection for the zone's 5,000 or so small producers.

100% Glera

Bandini is a specialist Prosecco producer based in Valdobbiadene. Made in an Extra Dry style this Prosecco has all the classic freshness and vibrancy one expects from the wines of the region. An aperitif style with a very fine mousse, this is made from high quality vineyards across the Veneto region.

The bouquet is delicate and complex with fruity notes of peach and green apple and secondary notes of acacia and wisteria. The palate is fresh and light with good acid balance and a creamy, harmonious mouthfeel and pleasing persistence.

Serve at 8-10°C. Ideal as an aperitif, Bandini Prosecco Extra Dry is a perfect accompaniment to hors-d’oeuvres and delicate first courses based on fish and shellfish.

The grapes are harvested at optimum maturity in the second half of September. After a very gentle crush the must is placed in stainless steel tanks to settle for decanting. The fermentation with selected yeasts is completed within 8-10 days at 18°C. The wine is then filtered and placed in closed stainless steel tanks for the secondary fermentation (Charmat Method) at a controlled temperature of 14-15 °C, with the addition of selected yeasts and saccharose. Once the wine has achieved the required pressure levels and alcohol/sugar balance, it is chilled to prohibit further fermentation ready for bottling.

Prosecco is made from the white grape Glera and is mainly used for making Preosecco in north eastern Italy. Known for fruity and floral flavors like apple, pear, and peach, it's prized for its high acidity, making it ideal for crafting refreshing sparkling wines. Glera was formerly named Prosecco, it was renamed Glera to protect the Prosecco regional name.

The Reversanti line now also includes other Piemontese wines: a golden Piemontese, fresh and deliciously aromatic: sweet Moscato d’Asti and the inevitable Barbera d’Asti, once considered a “rustic” wine, due to its high acidity, today it has increased its fame, thanks to modern and appropriate winemaking processes.

The “king of wines and wine of kings” Barolo, and his youngest relative, Barbaresco, should be mandatory tasting experiences within a wider culture of good drinking, not only for their stellar quality, but for their unique style. Unlike other Italian masterpieces that can be accompanied with more international grapes and flavors, these great classics are best expressed with their territorial typicality (100% Nebbiolo), following the rigorous Piemontese standards.
