Robert Parker "Subtle cedar notes join raspberries and strawberries on the nose of the 2018 Pinot Noir. On the palate, it's a bit light and lacking texture, but it's pretty, those attractive berry shadings lingering on the tart, crisp finish." (2018 vintage)
Wine Experience "Elegant and silken with wild, dark berry flavours and gentle dried herb notes. Medium-bodied, the palate is structured and graceful with plush fruit and exceptional fruit and tannin integration which lingers in the mouth." (2016 vintage)
Wine Enthusiast "This is a likable, easygoing Pinot that's fruity but not syrupy. It leads with a bowl of berries—strawberries, raspberries and cranberries—and is quickly followed by notes of baking spice, cracked pepper and violet. It's medium bodied but on the lighter end, with lifted acidity and smooth, stalky tannins. Drink now. Christina Pickard" (2016 vintage)
Wine Spectator "Smooth and creamy vanilla-scented strawberry and pomegranate flavors are lush and spicy in this red, with details of sage and matcha. Harmonious on the finish. Drink now. 2,500 cases made, 200 cases imported. — MW" (2016 vintage)
The Winefront "Pretty perfume shows red cherry, raspberry jam, some plummy notes. Fruity as... bright and easy to drink..." (2016 vintage)
James Suckling "This has a wealth of violets on the nose, and there's a dry earthy edge. The palate has elemental shape and red-fruit flavors. Drink now." (2015 vintage)
Wine Enthusiast "Although it starts on the oaky side, the ripe red fruit, olive and baking spice notes soon come into play. The palate integrates silky tannins with plush fruit, making this a straightforward example of Marlborough Pinot Noir." (2015 vintage)
Wine Spectator "There's a floral overtone and plenty of fresh green herbal notes to the tangy cherry flavors, with fresh green notes and tannins that firm up on the finish. Drink now. 3,000 cases made, 112 cases imported. — MW" (2015 vintage)
Robert Parker "Pale ruby-purple colored, the 2015 Pinot Noir gives a good intensity of ripe red cherry and red currant notes with a waft of underbrush. The medium-bodied palate delivers a great burst of uncomplicated red berry flavors with a soft structure and good persistence." (2015 vintage)
Falstaff "Medium crimson garnet, violet reflections, wider ocher rim. Red berries underlaid with tender tangerine zest, subtle herbal spices, restrained bouquet. Light-bodied, sweet strawberry confit, delicate tannins, elegant acidity, red berry finish, somewhat melting, stays short" (2012 vintage)

1 x Corymbia Chenin Blanc 2018 - Swan Valley, Western Australia
95/100 Ray Jordan
93/100 The Wine Front
91/100 Nick Stock
Ray Jordan "This is bloody marvellous Chenin Blanc. It was made by Rob and Genevieve Mann from fruit grown on Tony Mann’s property. Sure, it was a very good year, but it has been handled deftly to capture all those essential goodies from a variety that sings from the Swan. Controlled tropical fruits, with minerally citrus character and a lively fine acidity, are in perfect balance. Just love the palate."
Campbell Mattinson "Soft acidity, fluid flavour, a semblance of texture and lovely length. ...There’s a lilt to this wine, a carry. Watercress, pears and apples. It has enough to satisfy but it’s elegance personified."
Nick Stock "Here’s a delicious Chenin blanc that shows dried apple rind, cooked pears, fresh herbs and freshly squeezed nectarines. Medium body, bright and fine acidity and a medium finish."
Mike Bennie (The Wine Front) "Precise and racy style, kept in check with limey acidity and chalky phenolic grip. Actually, so much grip, rivulets of talc-and-salt-like pucker and chew. Serious structure and finesse in tow. Lime, tonic water, mixed minerals. Whoosh. Belter of a wine."
Gourmet Traveller Wine "Multiple releases of Corymbia Chenin blanc have impressed.....The wines under the Corymbia label have been outstanding."
Gourmet Traveller Wine "Corymbia is one of the most exciting wine projects to emerge from Western Australia in a decade. The combination of a distinguished winemaking family, the reinvention of a much-maligned wine region, the unlocking of the potential of a mature vineyard and a general sense of creativity, have all contributed to a strong currency.
Corymbia is the newish project of Rob and Genevieve Mann. The Mann family, of course, are generational wine producers in WA, with a history of iconic wines and vineyards. Rob, formerly working with Hardys, Cape Mentelle and Newton Vineyard in Napa Valley, has returned home and made a mark.
The family vineyard in Swan Valley is dry grown and organically farmed. While winemaking draws on the Manns’ suite of expertise and diversity of influences, it has been pared back for Corymbia, letting the fruit and character of the wines take the spotlight.
That Swan Valley has been put on a pedestal is wonderful, and a celebration of older vineyards, unique soil profile and a general sense of generational endeavour is exciting for the region. There’s an undercurrent of winemakers amplifying the region’s potential, but arguably Corymbia is the current totem."
Huon Hooke "The Mann family are winemaking royalty in Western Australia."
Corymbia is a new winery launched by one of the founding families of Western Australian wine. The Manns have grown grapes and made wine in the Swan Valley, Western Australia's oldest wine-growing region for over a century. Corymbia wines are critically acclaimed, organically-farmed, single-vineyard wines. Founder, Rob Mann is considered one of Australia's best contemporary winemakers. He was the senior winemaker at Hardy’s Tintara, and Cape Mentelle, where during his ten-year tenure the winery was twice awarded 'Australia's Producer of the Year' and Rob 'Australian Winemaker of the Year'. Prior to founding Corymbia he was Senior Winemaker at LVMH’s Newton Vineyard in the Napa Valley.

Robert Parker "A blend of 45% Grenache, 20% Cinsault, 10% each Rolle (Vermentino) and Syrah, plus 5% each of Mourvèdre, Sémillon and Tibouren, Tamary's 2020 Cotes de Provence Rose is a pale, coppery rosé that reveals hints of brine to go alongside peach, melon and citrus notes. It's medium-bodied and nicely rounded and generous on the palate, with a gentle, easy-drinking and harmonious finish."
Roger Voss, Wine Enthusiast "A blend of six grapes, this pale-pink wine is aromatic and attractively ripe, with a mineral edge to freshness. The red fruits, citrus flavors and crisp aftertaste make the wine immediately attractive. Drink now."
Decanter "Owned by Jean-Luc Zuger of Malescot St Exupéry (along with Frédéric Salin of Salin négociants), this is savoury to the point that you can almost taste a salt-licked tang on the finish, and the slate texture is marked, as are gentle redcurrant notes. This quality makes it quite unusual, and gives it presence. One for fans of not overly sweet rosés - of which I am one." (2019 vintage)
Robert Parker "A blend of 40% each Cinsault and Grenache, with 13% Syrah and 7% Mourvèdre, Tamary's 2019 Cotes de Provence Rose offers sedate notes of cantaloupe and lime zest. It's medium-bodied and plump in the mouth, with that zesty, slightly bitter note providing energy across the palate and through the long finish." (2019 vintage)
Falstaff "Pale salmon pink, silver reflections. Fresh white apple, a hint of red berries, lime zest, good minerality. Medium-bodied, fine fruity sweetness, well balanced by a lively acidity, lingers, fine touch of ripe pear in the finish, a versatile, summery food accompaniment." (2015 vintage)
Vinum Wine Magazine "As soon as the pink Côtes de Provence sparkles in the glass, the movie starts rolling in your head: Angelina and Brad in the "Café Sénéquier" at the port of Saint-Tropez. In the glass: the rosé that grows directly behind the beach. In the past, it often tasted clumsy, old-fashioned and alcoholic. But in recent years, the winegrowers have stepped on the gas. The Tamary rosé is a blend of Cinsault, Grenache and Mourvèdre. Aromas of summer herbs, flowers and roses. Soft on the palate, with southern charm and yet wholesome" (2015 vintage)
Made by one of the World's Top 10 winemakers
Wine-maker, Jean-Luc Zuger has been praised by top wine critics as "miraculous"
The Winemaker "Lovely aromas of citrus and flowers lead to a charming, sensual palate of berries, flowers and saline-laced minerals."
Made of 45% Grenache, 35% Cinsault, 15% Mourvèdre and 5% Rolle.
Winemaker, Jean Luc Zuger is the owner of a famuos Chateau in the Bordeaux appellation of Margaux. Together with Ferderic Salin; owner of the famous Bordeaux based négociant firm they bought and created Domaine de Tamary. Both share a passion for Provence rosé.
This is the result of that love, which saw them purchase the Domaine Tamary and look to seek-out its best possible incarnations. This wine pays respect to the steep slopes on which the Cinsault grapes are grown. These slopes, or "terrassess", provide vital exposure to the sunshine, protection from the strong mistral winds and resistance to disease that are key components to retaining the freshness and crisp balance in this wine.
The Guide Hachette des Vins - the bible of the French wine industry - gave Zuger’s 2007 Bordeaux its highest three-star rating, a score reserved for exceptional wines that are a perfect example of their appellation.
1 x Domaine Jean Descombes Morgon Cote du Py 2019 - Burgundy, France
90/100 Wine Enthusiast
92/100 James Suckling (2017 vintage)
91/100 James Suckling (2016 vintage)
James Suckling "One of the best ever. Drink now. Pretty aromas of strawberries, flowers and hints of dust follow through to a full body that is compact and tight with very vibrant acidity. Flavorful finish."
Decanter "Very good now and with the legs to improve.Textured and bullish, with layers of black fruits, raspberries and blueberries bound in grippy tannins."
Wine & Spirits "Best Buy!"
Roger Voss, Wine Enthusiast "Named after a family that has been in Morgon since the French Revolution, this wine shows powerful tannins and rich black fruits. It offers spice, layers of fruit and acidity, with a dry core that shows aging potential. Drink from 2021."
Wine Advocate ~ “One of Dubeouf's best this year.... bursts from the glass with a lavish bouquet of cassis, plums and cherries. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, ample and juicy, with supple but chewy tannins, a generous core of fruit and a comparatively elegant profile.” (2017 Vintage)
Wine & Spirits "Descombes was the first grower Georges Duboeuf worked with when he started his firm in 1968. This domaine is now run by Descombes’s daughter, Nicole Descombes Savoye, who produces this wine for Duboeuf from close to 30 acres with a southeast-facing exposition, the vines ranging in age from 50 to 100 years old. Made with destemmed grapes in a partial carbonic maceration, the wine is all raspberry, meadow flowers and iron-edged tannins. And it’s the tannins that last, detailed in their mineral expression, suiting the wine to long aging."
Nicole Descombes Savoye is known as “the Queen of Beaujolais”. Her family has been in the famous Morgon winemaking region since the French Revolution. Nicole’s father - the great and late Jean Ernst - which this wine is named after - is considered one of the great winemakers of the Morgon.
Les Vins Georges Duboeuf is one of the largest wine producers in France founded by the late Georges Duboeuf who was affectionately known as 'le roi du Beaujolais' (the King of Beaujolais) or sometimes pape du Beaujolais (Pope of Beaujolais). Les Vins Georges Duboeuf produces a staggering 3 million cases of wine annually. The company is most well-known for its popularization and production of Beaujolais wines. In 2018 Georges’ passed control of his company to his son Franck Duboeuf, who is considered to be one of the key specialists in Beaujolais, its terroir and its wine, and has shifted production to focus more on Beaujolais Nouveau.
The second largest of the 10 Crus of Beaujolais in Greater Burgundy, Morgon is comprised of six climate all with slightly different styles. Their unifying feature is the decomposed schist soil called roches pourries or “rotted rocks” and locals believe this contributes to the ripe cherry aromas found in all the wines. These are wines meant to age 5–10 years (at least). The young, fleshy palate of peach, apricot, cherry, and plum will develop into a more earthy wine reminiscent of Burgundian Pinot Noir. Of the 10 crus of Beaujolais, this is the closest to Moulin-a-Vent in terms of weight and structure, and it can age nearly as well. It has a firm minerality, thanks chiefly to its granitic soils, and a fruit profile that shades towards orange.

Wine Enthusiast "This wine has structure as well as vibrant black fruits. Its juicy, fruity character contrasts with the open, perfumed flavors."
Decanter "A balanced and complex palate combining a textured palate with lightness of fruit flavour. It has an amazing ability to taste deep and rich but be elegant, light and refreshing on the palate. Very impressive with supple black berry flavours alongside a minerality that comes through as wet stones, chalk and metal. It finishes on a slightly spiced mint note. Again, like La Rochelle, you can really taste terroir - grapes come from a single-vineyard plot located above the windmill at the top of the appellation with eastern exposure sitting in a wind tunnel that affects their maturation and concentration. Soils are sandy granite with an underlayer of clay."
Wine Spectator "Blackberry compote and dark cherry flavors are encased by velvety tannins in this light-bodied red, with floral and spice details lingering into the finish. Drink now through 2024."
Decanter "With 2018, Moulin-à-Vent has experienced four great vintages in a row and while they maybe a little less colour and concentration than in 2017, the quality is extremely high with quantity to match."
The Winemaker “A crimson colour with intense, complex aromas including floral scents (roses, peonies), dark berry aromas and hints of kirsch, sweet spices and pepper. Full, rich and fleshy on the palate, its tannins are mentholated, silky and distinctive, giving the wine a good structure. We recommend to taste this wine at 15-16 °C.”
Domaine du Pourpre is a family-run estate in the commune of Chénas. The Meziat family has been running it for 5 generations. Vines are more than 50 years old.
This wine is produced by Les Vins Georges Duboeuf which is one of the largest wine producers in France founded by the late Georges Duboeuf who was affectionately known as 'le roi du Beaujolais' (the king of Beaujolais) or sometimes pape du Beaujolais (Pope of Beaujolais). Les Vins Georges Duboeuf produces a staggering 3 million cases of wine annually. The company is most well-known for its popularization and production of Beaujolais wines. Moulin-à-Vent is situated in the north of the Beaujolais region in France. It is one of the most famous crus and named after the local windmill – the literal translation of the name. It is a historic appellation with a vine-growing history dating back hundreds of years. It was officially granted appellation status in 1936 – one of the first in the country.
Decanter "Moulin-à-Vent is considered the ‘king’ of the ten Beaujolais crus for the power, concentration, structure and ageability of its wines."

James Suckling "All very bright, pretty and floral with an attractive array of ripe strawberries, raspberries and blueberries. A crunchy palate"
Wine Enthusiast "This wine is soft for a Juliénas, with perfumed juicy, jammy red fruits and attractive acidity. It is rounded and generous, packed with fruit and only a hint of tannin."
James Suckling "Fresh and fragrant with lovely perfumes and brightness. Medium-bodied, clean and delicious. Hints of dried flowers on the finish." (2015 vintage)
Wine Enthusiast "This is one of several estates in this cru appellation where Georges Duboeuf makes and markets the wine. It is lightly wood aged to smooth out the ebullient fruits. Rich and with some firm tannins that will develop, it has concentration and a dense texture. " (2015 vintage)
The Winemaker “A deep crimson with purplish tints, this wine reveals complex, delicate aromas of dark berries and flowers (peonies and violets) with hints of pepper. Clean and fruity, well-balanced, quite full and aromatic, the wine has a fine structure.” (2015 vintage)
Other vintages of the Julienas Winemaker Selection have scored very well, for example the 2019, 2017 and 2015 all received a 90/100 from Wine Enthusiast with similar scores for other vintages from Wine Spectator and Decanter.
One of the oldest producing areas within the ten Beaujolais Cru appellations, Julienas is named after the Roman emperor Julius Caesar, the area has a 2000-year history of grape production. Its varied soil composition of sedimentary alluvial soils near the Saone River and the sandy granite of the sloping vineyards on the Beaujolais hills make for wines can range from light and fruity, to densely concentrated and powerful. The appellation has a continental climate with cool nights and warm days, and an extended ripening season thanks to the long summers providing optimum conditions for growing quality fruit. Typically Julienas wines are earthy and weighty, with a deep ruby-red colour and strawberry, violet, cinnamon, redcurrant and peony aromas. The wines can be powerful, and flavours of vanilla and spices can also emerge
