Bob Campbell, The Real Review "Rich, concentrated sauvignon blanc with vibrant passionfruit, guava, citrus, grapefruit and red capsicum flavours. Power and purity with a mouth-watering acid backbone and an impressively lingering finish"

Wine Spectator "Generous passion fruit, mango and guava notes add a tropical flair to the core of peach, melon and citrus flavors. The intense fruit flavors gain intensity and juiciness on the finish."

James Suckling "Aromas of passion fruit, lemon cordial and ripe pear. It’s medium-bodied with tangy acidity and sweet, tropical and citrus character."

Bob Campbell, The Real Review "Bright, tangy, aromatic sauvignon blanc with citrus, grapefruit, wet stone, mineral and a suggestion of wood smoke. An intriguing wine in a bone-dry style with a lingering finish. Quite austere. Good food wine. " (2019 vintage)

James Suckling "Very bright passion fruit and lime with herbal accents on the nose lead to a palate that has crisp, tropical-fruit flavors." (2019 vintage)

Amisfield's 200ha property, once a prominent high country merino station, is one of the largest single vineyard estates in the Central Otago region.

Central Otago, near the bottom of New Zealand's South Island, is the world's most southerly wine region. Vineyards cling to the sides of mountains and high above river gorges in this dramatic landscape.

One of the most distinctive features of Central Otago as a wine region is its marginal continental climate, with extreme seasonal and diurnal temperature variations. This shortens and intensifies the growing season and poses a frost risk for an extended period of the year. For this reason, many Otago vineyards occupy hillside sites, angled towards the sun, and reduce the risk of frost damage by keeping cold, dense air on the move.

Some producers employ frost protection on flatter sites, typically wind machines, frost pots and water sprinklers. Some have even been known to fly helicopters back and forth over their vineyards to prevent frost from settling.

The Sauvignon Blanc taste is one of the most identifiable in the world of white wines for a few reasons. First, it always has crisp, high acidity. Second, it has a chemical compound called pyrazine which gives grassy, herbal or bell pepper flavors. When grown in cooler climates or picked early, the herbaceous green character is most prominent. In warmer climates or allowed to hang longer on the vine, the pyrazine character diminishes in favor of riper fruit flavors ranging from grapefruit, to passion fruit and guava.

1 x Brokenwood Late Picked Semillon 2021 ~ Hunter Valley, NSW , Australia

5 Stars Winery - James Halliday (2016 vintage)

The winemaker "Beautiful green/yellow colour with great aromas of fresh apple and tropical fruits. These carry to the palate and are given a bit more prominence due to the slightly riper grapes. The sweetness is balanced by the fresh apple acidity that runs through to the finish. With 10.5% alcohol, this is a refreshing and easy-drinking wine".

The winemaker "Brokenwood has quite a history of Late Picked styles starting in 1983 and we have used Semillon, Gewurztraminer from the Hunter and Riesling from McLaren Vale. The fruit is allowed to get a bit riper and then the fermentation stopped when there was a perfect balance between acid, sugar and alcohol."

James Halliday "A deservedly fashionable winery producing consistently excellent wines. Its big-selling Hunter Semillon provides the volume to balance the limited quantities of the flagships ILR Semillon and Graveyard Shiraz. Brokenwood purchased the Graveyard Vineyard from Hungerford Hill in '78 and has been working to totally rehabilitate the vineyard over the ensuing decades. It's been a vine by vine exercise, with a degree of experimentation of rootstocks and clonal material from other, even older vineyards. Next, there is a range of wines coming from regions including Beechworth (a major resource is the associated Indigo Vineyard), Orange, Central Ranges, McLaren Vale, Cowra and elsewhere. In 2017 Iain Riggs celebrated his 35th vintage at the helm of Brokenwood, offering a unique mix of winemaking skills, management of a diverse business, and an unerring ability to keep Brokenwood's high profile fresh and newsworthy. He has also contributed a great deal to various wine industry organisations."

Established in 1970 Brokenwood Wines is one of Australia's most reputable premium wine labels and a must-visit in the Hunter Valley. It was established by Australia's leading wine critic, James Halliday.

Consistently listed as a 5-star winery, Brokenwood is home to the famous Graveyard Vineyard Shiraz, the highly acclaimed ILR Reserve Semillon, and the popular Cricket Pitch Range.

1 x Neudorf Tiritiri Chardonnay 2019 ~ Nelson, New Zealand

93/100 Bob Campbell
93/100 James Suckling
91/100 Julie Sheppard
91/100 Amy Wilslocki
90/100 Huon Hooke

Bob Campbell "New entry-level chardonnay label from three vineyards in the Upper Moutere. Bright, tangy chardonnay with lemon tart, oyster-shell, nectarine, root ginger and spicy oak flavours. Accessible now but no rush."

James Suckling "Aromas of apple pie and some smoke and mineral undertones follow through to a medium to full body with a phenolic-framed mid-palate and a fresh, vivid finish. A little shy, but lots going on here. Drink or hold. Screw cap."

Julie Sheppard "A newcomer to Neudorf's portfolio, made with grapes sourced from three sites in the Moutere Hills and wild-fermented in barrel. Aromas of waxy citrus, with breezy freshness. The textured, silky palate combines flinty mineral notes with citrus, apple and a touch of peach, alongside vibrant acidity. A good match for creamy fish dishes."

Amy Wilslocki "It has a lovely wild ferment character, with silky, creamy peach and apple fruit. It's textural, fresh and balanced, and will be a hit with lovers of both Old and New World Chardonnay...One of the Society's 2022 Wine Champions, this delicious, Burgundian-style Chardonnay is made by Neudorf, a top name in the Nelson region, from three sites. This has seen whole-bunch fermentation, and 10 months ageing on lees in medium-toast French oak (13% new)"

Huon Hooke "Light to mid-straw-yellow colour, with a smoky, fusty, dried flower, pot-pourri bouquet and a sulfury waft. In the mouth, it’s rich and has a slight tickle of sweetness, with amplitude and generosity, very good drinkability and plenty of appeal"

The Winemaker "A new addition to the Neudorf portfolio.

Organic wines are made from grapes grown without pesticides, following strict organic standards. Organic wines are produced in vineyards that do not use synthetic chemicals. Certified organic wines have been certified by BioGro 5438 certification in New Zealand.

The inaugural Tiritiri Chardonnay comes from three sites within the Moutere Hills, including the young vines of Neudorf’s own Rosie’s Block.

Drinking this wine suggests to me what it might be like to surf those waves off Raglan.

On the nose - ocean sea spray, waxy native florals entwined with white peaches.

These flavours are brought though to the palate along with notes of fennel & yuzu pith. The wine flirts with an exquisite balance of minerality & precision. There is a refreshing surge of acidity that is held together brilliantly with a framework of oak & fruit concentration - all riding the wave in sync.

A Chardonnay to be gently chilled, generously shared & enjoyed with anything that takes you back to the seaside in summer, maybe for a surf, a cast, or a wander."

Neudorf Vineyards is arguably the most well-known producer in New Zealand's famous Nelson wine-growing region. Neudorf was founded in 1978 by Tim and Judy Finn, who experimented with what was then unknown wine territory, building a thriving winery that is now famous for its wines made from Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Riesling. The Finns were pioneers of organic farming in New Zealand and their wine-making philosophy is one of minimal intervention.

Tiritiri is a new brand from Neudorf which collaborates with named, hand-selected growers in the Nelson region to make excellent wines. All wines are created from single-vineyard which are committed to low cropping.

Nelson is a small, wine region at the northern end of New Zealand's South Island. Surrounded on three sides by mountains, it enjoys a unique mesoclimate that is perfect for aromatic grape varieties. Wines made from Riesling, Pinot Gris and Gewurztraminer are considered to be some of the best in New Zealand.

Chardonnay is one of the world’s most popular grapes, Chardonnay is made in a wide range of styles from lean, to rich, creamy white wines aged in oak. Bolder, richer, full-bodied and buttery Chardonnays are made using oak and are produced in California, Burgundy, and Australia. Unoaked chardonnays such as Chablis and those produced in Chile, New Zealand, and other parts of France are leaner and often crisp and mineraly, with delicate flavors. By law, if a label says “Chablis,” it must be Chardonnay.

Matt Ward "With lifted floral notes of elderflower, pear, cinnamon and custard. The palate is generous, where ripe fruit and texture
create richness, yet balance with very fine minerality and a touch of residual sugar to bring the wine to a memorable finish."

Bob Campbell "Attractive pinot gris that's been made with a light touch with poached pear, apple, ginger and nutty yeast lees characters. A dry wine with appealing purity and an ethereal texture" (2021 vintage)

Sam Kim "Elegant and delightfully inviting, the bouquet shows white flesh peach, Nashi pear, floral and lemon peel aromas. The palate displays excellent fruit purity and focus, combined with refined texture and bright acidity, finishing long and delicate. At its best: now to 2025."

Bob Campbell "Dry, fruity pinot gris with ripe pear, stewed apple, ginger and star anise flavours. An initial suggestion of sweetness is quickly balanced by fruity acidity giving a dry finish and adding a little tension to the wine" (2020 vintage)

Bob Campbell "Off-dry pinot gris with green pear, apple and fresh baked bread yeasty characters. Crisp and slightly hard acidity balance subtle sweetness and leave a drying finish." (2019 vintage)

Huon Hooke "The colour is very light, bright yellow and the aroma is fresh and clean, tasting quite sweet and fresh, grapy and stone-fruity, with a nectarine-like flavour that is very appealing. An easy drinking and charming gris." (2017 vintage)

Since the release of Catalina Sounds Pinot Gris, the vineyard has been consistently awarded.

The Real Review. Bob Campbell & Huan Hooke "Top 2016 Pinot Gris"

Winestate Magazine 2016 Vintage "Attractively scented, with mouth filling body and strong, ripe peach and pear-like flavours. Fresh and finely textured, with slightly mealy notes."

Malborough based award winning winery, Catalina Sounds is known for wines which harness the purity and vibrancy of Marlborough’s climate and landscape. The name Catalina Sounds evolved from the majestic Catalina flying boats that played a vital role across the South pacific during and after World War II.

Marlborough is by far New Zealand's most important wine region. Situated at the north-eastern tip of the South Island, this dry, sunny region produces around three-quarters of all New Zealand wine. It is particularly famous for its pungent, zesty Sauvignon Blanc - widely considered by critics to be the best Sauvignon currently produced anywhere on the planet. Commercial scale viticulture began in Marlborough the 1970s – it conquered the world within 25 years!

Pinot Grigio is more than just the Italian name for Pinot Gris. Although the two names refer to a single grape variety, the wine styles they represent are clearly distinct from one another.

The more refreshing Pinot Grigio style has enjoyed great success in various countries, most recently the United States, (where it is fondly nicknamed ""Greej"") and Australia. The most common descriptors of the style are ""light"", ""crisp"" and ""dry"". These characteristics are complemented by aroma notes citing lemon, green apple and blossoms.

The Grigio style is achieved by harvesting the grapes relatively early, in an attempt to retain as much fresh acidity as possible; the variety is naturally quite low in acidity. To retain freshness and ""zing"", fermentation and storage typically take place in stainless-steel tanks.

Organic

Gary Walsh "Lime, pear, some white flowers, ginger, cinnamon, and Parmesan rind, a little struck match. It has crunch and energy, pear skin and apple, a saline edge, fine chalky/dusty texture, cinnamon bark, a slight lemon rind and quinine bitterness, fresh crunch of green pear and grapefruit, and a perky kind of sappy and preserved lemon finish of good length and freshness. For a warm to hot climate wine, it certainly has some mojo, not least an individual personality. Saline and samphire thing happening too. It’s very good."

Mike Bennie, Gourmet Traveller Wine "Corymbia is one of the most exciting wine projects to emerge from Western Australia in a decade. The wines under the Corymbia label have been outstanding."

Erin Larkin “Delicate, as usual, with a flood of green apple, white flowers, Turkish apricots, cheesecloth and beeswax. This has Australian bush, and wide open summer air, and saltbush, too. The phenolics have a bitter little kick in them through the finish ... but that's ok, I was waiting for it. The waxy, lanolin character is exactly en pointe for the variety.” (2021 vintage)

Erin Larkin "...Warm, low yielding and with plenty of structure and power. That shows in the intensity of white summer apricot, green apple skin, lanolin and crushed cashew that spools out over the very long, neat finish. Saline acid laces all of these characters together. Another brilliant release." (2020 vintage)

Nick Stock "Lemon and sliced apple aromas, some gentle pastry and an overall purity and freshness. The fruit has been coaxed into a smoothly fleshy style on the palate with a bright apple, pear and lemon-flavoured finish. The Corymbia Rocket's Vineyard Chenin Blanc 2020 is beautifully balanced." (2020 vintage)

Gary Walsh "Preserved lemon, lemon barley, pear and spice. Tight, juicy, pear skin and lemon peel, bright acidity, powdery with a talc-like perfume, saline and fresh, with a dusty chalky finish of fine length. Hot climate wine, from a hot vintage, laying it on cool. Excellent. So excellent. This is a banger. " (2020 vintage)

Huon Hooke "Light yellow hue, with a smoky sulfide bouquet, the palate lean and restrained, delicate and tense, with a properly dry finish augmented by a slight grip. Lemony flavour and acidity lingers. It would be better with a buttery fish fillet." (2019 vintage)

Ray Jordan "This is bloody marvellous Chenin Blanc. It was made by Rob and Genevieve Mann from fruit grown on Tony Mann’s property. Sure, it was a very good year, but it has been handled deftly to capture all those essential goodies from a variety that sings from the Swan. Controlled tropical fruits, with minerally citrus character and a lively fine acidity, are in perfect balance. Just love the palate." (2018 vintage)

Campbell Mattinson "Soft acidity, fluid flavour, a semblance of texture and lovely length. ...There’s a lilt to this wine, a carry. Watercress, pears and apples. It has enough to satisfy but it’s elegance personified." (2018 vintage)

Huon Hooke "Very light yellow colour. Vaguely scented aroma of fresh flowers and nettles, the palate light and straightforward, wispy and clean, simple and fairly short. A decent quaffing dry white. " (2018 vintage)

Nick Stock "Here’s a delicious Chenin blanc that shows dried apple rind, cooked pears, fresh herbs and freshly squeezed nectarines. Medium body, bright and fine acidity and a medium finish." (2018 vintage)

Campbell Mattinson "You'd call it slight and insubstantial but you'd also call it stylish. It's a paradox. Spiced apple flavours are the order of the day but the real charm springs from soft acidity." (2018 vintage)

Mike Bennie (The Wine Front) "Precise and racy style, kept in check with limey acidity and chalky phenolic grip. Actually, so much grip, rivulets of talc-and-salt-like pucker and chew. Serious structure and finesse in tow. Lime, tonic water, mixed minerals. Whoosh. Belter of a wine."

Gourmet Traveller Wine "Multiple releases of Corymbia Chenin blanc have impressed.....The wines under the Corymbia label have been outstanding."

Gourmet Traveller Wine "Corymbia is one of the most exciting wine projects to emerge from Western Australia in a decade. The combination of a distinguished winemaking family, the reinvention of a much-maligned wine region, the unlocking of the potential of a mature vineyard and a general sense of creativity, have all contributed to a strong currency.

Organic wines are made from grapes grown without pesticides, following strict organic standards. Organic wines are produced in vineyards that do not use synthetic chemicals.Certified organic wines have been certified by Australian Certified Organic Standard (ACOS).

Corymbia is the newish project of Rob and Genevieve Mann. The Mann family, of course, are generational wine producers in WA, with a history of iconic wines and vineyards. Rob, formerly working with Hardys, Cape Mentelle and Newton Vineyard in Napa Valley, has returned home and made a mark.

The family vineyard in Swan Valley is dry grown and organically farmed. While winemaking draws on the Manns’ suite of expertise and diversity of influences, it has been pared back for Corymbia, letting the fruit and character of the wines take the spotlight.

That Swan Valley has been put on a pedestal is wonderful, and a celebration of older vineyards, unique soil profile and a general sense of generational endeavour is exciting for the region. There’s an undercurrent of winemakers amplifying the region’s potential, but arguably Corymbia is the current totem."

Huon Hooke "The Mann family are winemaking royalty in Western Australia."

Corymbia is a new winery launched by one of the founding families of Western Australian wine. The Manns have grown grapes and made wine in the Swan Valley, Western Australia's oldest wine-growing region for over a century. Corymbia wines are critically acclaimed, organically-farmed, single-vineyard wines. Founder, Rob Mann is considered one of Australia's best contemporary winemakers. He was the senior winemaker at Hardy’s Tintara, and Cape Mentelle, where during his ten-year tenure the winery was twice awarded 'Australia's Producer of the Year' and Rob 'Australian Winemaker of the Year'. Prior to founding Corymbia he was Senior Winemaker at LVMH’s Newton Vineyard in the Napa Valley.

Swan Valley is a sub-region of the Swan District wine region just north of Perth, in Western Australia. The Swan District is Western Australia’s oldest wine region, having been planted by English settlers soon after their arrival in 1829. For almost 150 years it was the only significant wine-producing region in Western Australia and today it's also home to the state's largest winery. Some of Western Australia's finest wines are produced in the Swan Valley.

It is an actively multicultural area, with the descendants of early Yugoslav, Italian and English migrants continuing the region's winemaking traditions. Pioneers in the development of table wines include the legendary Jack Mann at Houghton in the 1930s and 1940s.

Chenin Blanc is a versatile white-wine grape variety that has been cultivated in France for nearly 1300 years. It is most commonly associated with France's Loire Valley, and its high acidity levels mean it can be vinified in a number of different styles: as lusciously sweet, botrytis-affected dessert wines, light, honeyed sparkling wines and as full-bodied, still white wines.

5 Stars - Halliday Wine Companion
People Choice Award 2023

Trophy - Best Riesling Winewise Championship 2023
Gold - Clare Valley Wine Show 2022
Gold - Langton's Clare Valley Regional Wine Show (2021 vintage)

Ken Gargett, Wine Pilot "If there is a better Riesling made in Australia this decade, I want to know about it. This is so close to perfect, it deserves full points but I think it might just get even better and I need the wiggle room."

Sam Kim, Wine Orbit "An exceptional offering; the delicately lifted bouquet shows lemon pith, lime sorbet, white floral and wet limestone nuances, leading to an impressively concentrated palate displaying linear mouthfeel backed by firm acidity. Exquisite and pure, delivering outstanding line and length."

Aaron Brasher, The Real Review "Pale straw, bright and really youthful in the glass. Fragrant, pretty and lifted aromas of lemon pith, bath salts, citrus blossom and wet slate. Fine, delicate and pointed on the palate, mouth-wateringly citrusy, juicy, mineral, pithy with lip-smackingly crunchy acidity. This is a class act and has a long life ahead of it. "

Robert Parker, Wine Advocate "...a product of the excellent 2022 season that birthed it. The Merle is traditionally a structural and streamlined wine, and this vintage iteration continues the established theme. Lithe, almost muscular and loaded with juicy acidity, this wine, in this year, deserves to be put down for a while. With pureness, strength, fruit power, coiled, springy acidity and length for days, this is sensational Riesling."

Campbell Mattinson, The Wine Front "The purity of this is quite something. It’s more than that of course, it has a semblance of texture, and lots of length, and enough spread to the flavour profile to keep it from seeming simple. It also has some X factor, or something difficult to describe, which just makes you feel in the most confident and reassuring of hands. But the purity, well, it gets you in the feels, it’s the land and the vines in an embrace so tight they seem as one, like the sound of the sea inside a shell. Clare Valley Riesling. More than a cliche. Twist the top and you’re there."

James Suckling "This is still extremely youthful, the nose pure lemon sherbet in the first moment, but slowly revealing a wide spectrum of citrus notes, including lemon blossom. Very racy and tightly wound on the concentrated and sleek palate. You need to like acidity to fully appreciate the samurai sword-like finish at this early stage in its life. Drinkable now, but best from 2024. "

Mike Bennie, Halliday Wine Companion "The Merle commands attention at the apex of 'reserve' Clare Valley riesling styles. This is no slouch. It's complex and potent, precise and exceptional in its carriage of flavour and the detail within. It's very aromatic, redolent of fresh lime, green apple, ozone, ginger, jasmine and thyme. Flavours are similar but set within a very fresh feeling, chalky textured rapier thrust of tart lime, pink grapefruit and tangerine fruitiness, offset with very minerally, briny tang. An epic wine."

Trophy - Best Riesling Winewise Championship 2023 "The lime blossom fragrance of Clare is clearly evident, and the palate is intense and long, yet delicate, built around a line of pronounced acidity that guarantees a long cellaring life. World-class dry riesling."

Ken Gargett, Wine Pilot "Terrific intensity here, incredible length and perfect structure. This wine offers more chalky soil notes (or at least, that is what it appears to do), along with those beautiful fresh lime characters. This is a stunning Riesling. The flavours explode across the palate. It has a life of twenty years ahead of it and many more, if you can be that patient. If there is a better Riesling made in Australia this decade, I want to know about it.” (2021 vintage)

James Suckling "This has very intense aromas of lime and wet slate with some sweeter florals, as well as white nectarine. So fresh. The palate has intensity and drive, with the same fresh lime and white-nectarine flavors. Very long and vivid." (2021 vintage)

Aaron Brasher, The Real Review "Pale straw, green tints, really youthful in the glass. Aromas of lime leaf, jasmine, feijoa, just-ripe white stone fruit and grapefruit pith. Racy, fine, focused and concentrated on the palate. Lashings of zesty citrus, green melon, brown lime, talc and minerally wet-stone. A touch of grip adds to the mouth-feel and adds texture and length. A very complete riesling ." (2021 vintage)

Mike Bennie, The Wine Front "An imperial standard, of sorts! Lemongrass, lime cordial, green apples. Huzzah! A touch of blackcurrant too? Perhaps. Attractive, varietal scents. Zingy and energetic to taste, compact, bracing with its core of steely, lemon juice acidity. Pent up, powerful, tight and very long. Bone dry. Excellent, classic expression. A Very Good Example." (2021 vintage)

Decanter "Already established in the wine industry, in 1984 the Pike family pooled resources to purchase its first 27ha. The Merle is named after the family matriarch, in tribute to their history and tradition. The highly regarded 2021 release is made from just three blocks among the best parcels of their own vineyards in the Polish Hill River estate. Justin Knock MW: Super-precise, steely and pinpoint, salivating, refreshing, lime juice, wet rocks, slippery thirsty acidity. Really lovely balance and finesse. Roger Jones: Gentle, spiced honeycomb, fresh yellow florals, clean and pure, touch of wet stone, delicate jasmine, clementine citrus peel. A wine to age, with great character, depth and woven citrus-curd acidity. Julia Sewell: Candied lemon peel, green mango and green pear aromas. Punchy and powerful, this holds nothing back, yet is balanced across all elements. With a seamless and strikingly juicy palate, a hint of something tropical adds an exotic element." (2021 vintage)

Erin Larkin, Halliday Wine Companion "The nose here is littered with characters that take some time to unpick: green pineapple, green and red apple skins, white peach, lemon zest, lime flesh and beeswax. Layers of white pepper, crushed chalk and hints of garden mint round this out. It's incredibly detailed and interesting, not to mention long." (2021 vintage)

James Halliday, Halliday Wine Companion "...luscious, but that's the impact of this wine. It's citrus focused, of course, and it also has keynote acidity, but it's the honeyed mouthfeel and flavour that hits the jackpot." (2020 vintage)

Huon Hooke, The Real Review "Pale straw colour. Very fresh, youthful, restrained and subtle on the nose. Lemon juice and subtle herbs. The palate is juicy, the faintest trace of sweetness balancing the vibrant acidity. Dried herbs and dried flowers. Still slightly yeasty. Rapier-like acidity. Lean, nervy and tight, demanding time and patience. Potential-plus." (2020 vintage)

James Suckling "A very fine, fresh and focused riesling, as is the style of Merle. The nose has intense lime and flint aromas with attractive wet-stone and spice notes. The palate is cleverly pitched and poised with a long stream of unwavering lime flavor." (2020 vintage)

Pikes is a prestigious winery in South Australia's Clare Valley, established in 1984 by Neil and Andrew Pike, whose viticultural roots go back to the late 1800s. Situated in the picturesque Clare Valley, the Estate is comprised of approximately 100 hectares of rolling slopes in Polish Hill River, an eastern sub-region of the Clare Valley.
Known for its cool climate and diverse grape varieties, Pikes showcases premium wines with distinct characters and flavors due to the unique terroir and altitude.

After an almost 20-year career with Penfolds Wines and Southcorp Wine Group, Andrew joined Pikes on a full-time basis in 1998 to oversee viticultural operations and manage the growing family business.

Pikes is particularly renowned for its high-quality Riesling and other cool-climate wines, praised for vibrant acidity, citrus flavors, and exceptional aging potential. Whilst they are best known for world-class Riesling, they have been growing Shiraz and Cabernet for 35 years and have 20 different grape varieties planted on their estate, producing a wide range of wine styles to suit all tastes.

Pikes pride themselves on producing quality handcrafted wines, that reflect vintage, variety, and region. The Pike family has been producing quality wine, beer, and aerated waters in South Australia since 1886 it is a family tradition of which they should be very proud.

Their vineyards in Clare Valley grow various grape varieties, with a strong commitment to sustainable viticulture and environmental responsibility.

Their portfolio includes Riesling, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay, and unique blends, all crafted with a dedication to quality and craftsmanship. Over the years, Pikes has garnered numerous awards, establishing itself as a top producer in the Clare Valley, and gaining recognition both nationally and internationally for their excellent and consistent wines.

Riesling is a light-skinned, aromatic grape of German origin which is – if the majority of top wine critics are to be believed – the world's finest white wine grape variety. The Riesling vine holds a very different place in the wine world to such great grapes as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot or Chardonnay. While these immensely popular varieties have conquered every corner of the winegrowing world, Riesling is conspicuously absent from the core wine regions of France, Spain and Italy. Riesling's home is the regions that trace the middle Rhine and the lower Mosel, two of Europe's great wine rivers.

By law, if a label says “Chablis,” it must be Chardonnay.

create richness, yet balance with very fine minerality and a touch of residual sugar to bring the wine to a memorable finish."
