Ana Belén Toribio,(Spanish Wine Critic) "An elegant wine dominated by the aromas of ripe red fruits and spices. Good entry into the mouth with smooth and rounded tannins. It presents a good balance between acidity and tannins. Pairs with all kinds of meats, grilled or roasted, aged cheeses, or as an aperitif without food." (2014 vintage)
The Winemaker "Made exclusively from the Tempranillo grape variety, grapes are carefully handpicked from small production vineyards from vines over 80 years-old. The result is a superb wine with ripe, red fruit aromas and hints of spices. In the palate it is powerful, yet elegant and balanced." (2014 Vintage)
Gilbert & Gaillart "An easy-drinking wine with velvety fruit showing good acidity and delicate oakiness. International in style." (2013 vintage)
Falstaff "Smells quite radiant and clear of Darjeeling tea and red currant. On the palate, light in the extract with strong alcohol, with a juicy, mild mid-palate and a fruity finish that picks up the aromas of the fragrance again. Pleasant drinking wine." (2013 Vintage) (German Translated)
Guia Penin "Colour: Cherry. Nose: scrubland, red berry notes, fruit liqueur notes, waxy notes. Palate: spicy, good acidity, fine bitter notes." (2013 Vintage)
Gilbert & Gaillart "Ruby-hued. Notes of red fruits and ripe plum feature on the nose, combined with menthol and black pepper notes. A characterful wine on the palate, forceful on the attack then fruity with rich acidity and persistent toast. Classically styled." (2012 vintage)
Wine Enthusiast "Saucy berry aromas are accompanied by notes of coffee, olive and forest floor. This has a drawing mouthfeel, while the palate collapses a bit on itself. Flavors of raspberry and cherry offer no small amount of vanilla and oak, while the finish is lively, long and oaky. Drink through 2022." (2011 Vintage)
Gilbert & Gaillard "Deep ruby. Vanilla notes coupled with ripe red fruits and menthol notes melding with faint blackcurrant are delivered on the nose. A classic, delicately textured and long wine on the palate with fruit and good acidity." (2011 Vintage)
Falstaff "Smells of wild strawberries, after contact with air also thyme, some iron. Comparatively poor in contour on the palate, slightly creamy, mature tannins with slight green components that disappear behind the creaminess, medium length, rather restrained acidity. Correct consumption quality, also as an accompaniment to simple dishes, chorizo and cheese." (2011 Vintage) (German Translated)
Wine Spectator "A smooth texture carries flavors of plum, licorice, cedar and smoke in this savory red. Features light, firm tannins and gentle acidity. Modest but balanced. Drink now through 2020. 10,000 cases made, 800 cases imported. — TM" (2011 Vintage)
