500ml 86/100 Whisky Saga Gold - Blended Malt: Premium 2019 - The Scotch Whisky Masters (The Spirits Business) Gold - Blended Malt: Premium 2018 - The Scotch Whisky Masters (The Spirits Business) A vatted malt, this has the same classic Islay character as the 'Full Proof' version with notes of fruit, spice and smoke. Thomas - Whisky Saga "A rock solid Islay youngster for the peat lovers." Peated Perfection "Very enjoyable, and a great 'session-able' dram." Nose - Waves of coastal smoke, with hints of fresh lemon and caramel underneath. Palate - Mineral-y, with sweet orange and white chocolate notes developing. Peat smoke remains a constant feature. Finish - A lingering notes of sea salt and malt. Created in 2008 by London’s Elixir Distillers, Elements of Islay aims to celebrate the best of Islay whisky, especially peat! These independent bottlings boast laboratory-style bottles adorned with periodic table inspired labelling, where each distillery has its own element symbol. This pays homage to the ‘elemental’ character possessed by Islay malt whiskies.
