The Winemaker “Sparkling pale gold color. Quality and complexity with aromas of citrus fruit enhanced with scents of white flowers. The mouth is full, mineral and fruity, with a nice tension that invigorates the finish. To be served chilled.”

This wine is produced by Les Vins Georges Duboeuf which is one of the largest wine producers in France founded by the late Georges Duboeuf who was affectionately known as 'le roi du Beaujolais' (the king of Beaujolais) or sometimes pape du Beaujolais (Pope of Beaujolais). Les Vins Georges Duboeuf produces a staggering 3 million cases of wine annually. The company is most well-known for its popularization and production of Beaujolais wines. In 2018 Georges’ passed control of his company to his son Franck Duboeuf, who is considered to be one of the key specialists in Beaujolais, its terroir and its wine, and has shifted production to focus more on Beaujolais Nouveau.

Aligoté is a white grape used to make dry white wines, especially in the Burgundy region of France where it was first recorded in the 18th century. DNA profiling has proven it to be a member of the wider Pinot family, of which Chardonnay is also a member. The variety is at its best in the wines of the regional Bourgogne Aligoté appellation, and particularly in Bouzeron, in the northern Côte Chalonnaise. Aligote also has a key role in the sparkling Crémant de Bourgogne wines.

Bourgogne Aligoté is the appellation within Burgundy for white wines made from the Aligoté grape variety, created in July 1937. In the past five years, its reputation has grown considerably. Bourgogne Aligoté is now appreciated by wine lovers for its vivacity and thirst-quenching qualities, and is popular among a hip young clientele.

Georges Duboeuf (14 April 1933 – 4 January 2020) was an award winning French wine producer and merchant, and the founder of Les Vins Georges Duboeuf: one of the largest wine producers in France. Duboeuf produces a staggering 3 million cases of wine annually. The company is most well-known for its popularization and production of Beaujolais wines, leading to Duboeuf's nicknames of le roi du Beaujolais or sometimes pape du Beaujolais (the king or pope of Beaujolais). In 2018 Georges’ passed control of his company to his son Franck Duboeuf.
