Distillation of this whisky began in 1989 Prádlo Distilleries, shortly before the Velvet Revolution and the fall of communism in Czechoslovakia, the idea of imitating the production of pure malt Scotch whiskey, using mills iron hammers and elements found in the Czech country itself, such as barley and pure water from the Bohemia region and Czech oak barrels. The whiskey was kept in deposits and forgotten for nearly 20 years. After its discovery, this impressive whiskey was named after the great mills that were used in distillation: Hammerhead.

Anne-Sophie Bigot - Distiller "Sweet honeyed bourbon-y aroma with rich malty notes, lemon cake and some mineral tones. Its velvety texture on the mouth offers some fruity hints of cooked pears, more malt and wood spices."

Nose - Dry grape notes with hints of lime start the show, sour redcurrants are present as well. Like a mellow citrus fragrant, when given time in the glass. Drops of water bring oak and spices.

Taste - Light, yet spicy and crispy. Dry citrus and oak, hints of dark toffee. Drops of water bring the malt and add lots of spices to the mix.

Finish - Aftertaste is great but there’s not that much of it. Little spicy as well.
