Tyson Stelzer - Wine Companion "A sparkling riesling of finesse and focus, built on the zest and apple crunch of '14, bolstered by the subtle toasty, nutty complexity of one-third reserves and integrated thanks to the gently textural effect of 16 months on lees. It retains brightness, varietal definition and integrity".

Campbell Mattinson, Halliday Wine Companion "Straight to the point. Tart apple, lemon and aspirin characters burst straight through the palate to the finish, barely stopping to pass 'go'."

Huon Hooke, The Real Review "Light to medium-yellow colour, with a stone-fruity aroma, clean and fresh and primary, not complex, with a notable twist of acidity balancing evident liqueur sweetness. Some herbal notes. The finish is cleansing and refreshing."

Erin Larkin, Halliday Wine Companion "Lean, taut and mineral, this has a delicate fruit profile that leaves a distinct Disprin character in the mouth. Cleansing and fresh with a residual tart green apple character on the lip."

Toni Paterson, The Real Review "Being made from riesling, this wine has a different aroma that you would normally expect to see with Australian bubbly. The nose is quite pronounced with a little lemon, butter and green melon. The palate is very riesling like with good flavour, pronounced acidity and softness"

Winemaker "Aromatics of apple, citrus and honey dew. A persistent fine bead and a crisp clean finish."

100% Riesling
Alcohol: 11%

Majella is one of the most awarded small Australian wineries. It is family-owned and based in the famous Coonawarra wine region of South Australia. The Coonawarra wine region is characterized by its soils, known far and wide as “terra Rossa” - literally “red earth”.

The Coonawarra “Terra Rossa” forms a long, linear shape, little more than 20km long, and in parts only a few kilometres wide.

This soil is regarded as one of the premium viticultural soils of the world and Majella is fortunate that its vineyards are situated on the eastern edge of this famous “red stripe”.

Minuet – a social dance of French origin, usually in ¾ time; the musical form which accompanies the dance.

The Minuet is an aperitif style sparkling, made using the bottle fermented “méthode traditionelle” process, resulting in a very fine bead, great mouth feel and long and complex finish.
