Le Journal du Dimanche, The JDD "In the Gins of the moment for the JDD, “pretty bouquet of wild flowers from the ocean (…) supporting a light but controlled taste palette."

Le Figaro "With great poetry, which will seduce the epicureans.."

Le Monde, M the Magazine of the World "finesse...precise, complex and straightforward flavours. Melifera reflects the spirit of the island of Oléron, where the immortelle (plant used in the gin) is queen."

Le Figaro "Melifera quickly found itself at the top or in good place in the rankings of the best gins.....Within a category of very fashionable spirits, (French owners) Christophe and Cécile Amigorena make the difference with Melifera, a gin created ex nihilo, local, organic, good and sustainable.”

Le Figaro "The base, the soul of a gin, remains its fragrance. It is the everlasting Oleron, a spicy plant with the scent of hot sand, which will be the central element of the recipe. It is forbidden to pick it in the dunes, whose vegetation is protected. (Cécile Amigorena Co-Founder) explains “We could have gotten some elsewhere but we decided to plant some". They buy a 2-hectare field hitherto dedicated to market gardening, a charming piece of Oléron countryside, on the edge of the forest. Two hundred and fifty plants of Helichrysum italicum, with peppery and minty stems, give the best of themselves here. They will also increase their production. The landscape architect Jean-Baptiste Lacombe is developing the plot so that it also becomes a place to discover the local flora, a kind of showroom for their product. And then, to the wild raspberries, they will add junipers, gentian, mugwort and a carpet of honey. At the end of the field, they will install beehives. They campaign for the reintroduction of the black bee, which is more resistant (but a tad more aggressive) than the common hybrid. “ We work withthe black bee conservatory of Oléron (CANO) and we are financing DNA tests to check that the hives of black bees are not colonized by other species”.

Organic wines are made from grapes grown without pesticides, following strict organic standards. Organic wines are produced in vineyards that do not use synthetic chemicals. Certified organic gin in France.

Owners Christophe and Cécile Amigore "Melifera is an olfactory walk in the dunes, a sensory journey towards simple, happy and authentic moments. It is the desire to capture these sweet smells of returning from the beach, of laughter, of childhood joy, of sweet moments shared with friends and to distill them into a premium Gin."

Melifera is the new, cult French organic gin from the exotic botanical-rich islands of Oléron and Corsica. Founded by French husband-wife duo, Christophe and Cécile Amigorena who left international careers spearheading brands such as L'Occitane to retire home to the French countryside to induldge their passion for sustainable gin making.

Melifera gin is made using the French Immortelle flower which is a natural plant native to the dry, sandy grounds of the Mediterranean. The plant lives an exceptionally long life and its organic essential oil is known for its unique anti-ageing properties, recently made famous by the French skincare brand L'Occitane.

Melefera Gin gin is produced with hand-harvested, organic Immortelle flowers produced with sustainable practices that preserve biodiversity in the island regions where the indigenous flora grows. The company donates part proceeds of the sale of its gins to the preservation of the indigenous black bee of Oléron.
